.EU domain authorization code is required when transferring domain name to another registrar or holder. The authorization code includes a total of 16 letters and digits separated by dashes, in the following format: YYYY-AAAA-BBBB-CCCC.
There are three ways to obtain an authorization code:
1.To order an authorization code for a domains registered via Zone, follow these instructions.
The authorization code will be sent within 10-15 minutes to the contact e-mail address of the owner of the domain. Before ordering an authorization code, please make sure that the e-mail address is valid and that you have access to it.
2. Alternatively, the name transfer authorization code can be obtained via the end-user extranet. For more information click here.
3. Should you be unable to acquire an authorization code via two of the abovementioned ways, you may submit a formal request to EURid for an emergency authorization code.
ATTENTION! An authorization code is valid for 40 days from the date of issue. Every time the new code is requested, previous one becomes invalid. Thus, new code remains valid for 40 days. Authentication code request submitted within 24 hours from the moment of the first request, will be responded with the same code. The authorization code becomes invalid immediately after use.
