WordPress Cleanup Overview
The work to be carried out during the cleanup may vary, as the cleanup is case-specific.
Generally, the work to be carried out will involve the following steps:
- Restoring website data from uncompromised backups.
Backups are created every night and are stored for 14 days. This means we need to have a clean backup from which to restore. In this case, a more thorough cleaning may not be necessary and the invoice will be submitted only for backup (28 EUR + VAT). - Replacement of WordPress, plugins and theme files with clean versions from original sources (paid components excluded).
- Changing the database password and making changes to the web application configuration.
- Invalidating compromised passwords of WordPress admin/users to update them if needed.
- Updating WordPress “salts” to increase security.
- Adding WordPress under Zone+ application manager.

Q: Is there a warranty on website cleanup?
A: If after the cleanup the recommendations given by Zone have been implemented, then at the customer’s request, a free follow-up inspection and cleaning will be carried out within 7 days after the cleaning. Warranty is void if WordPress core, plugins, and themes are not updated.
Q: How much does website cleanup cost?
A: Web-site cleanup costs 150 EUR + VAT. This price includes the work outlined in the cleaning overview. If the amount of work turns out to be significantly larger, we inform the client and ask for consent to continue the work. The price applies separately for each WordPress application installed in the hosting. If Zone has a clean backup copy of the website, you only have to pay for the restoration from the backup copy, the cost of which is €28 + VAT.
Q: When is the cleanup service carried out by Zone?
A: Zone’s technicians work from 9am to 5pm on business days. Cleanup is not carried out on weekends and public holidays.
