.EE domain’s authorization code and requesting it

According to the .EE domain regulations the authorization code is a password, that identifies the relationship between the domain and the registrant. The authorization code is required for transferring domain from one registrar to another.

To request an authorization code for a domain registered through Zone, on our website choose “My Zone” and log in using your ZoneID account information. Then on the service overview page under “Domains” choose  “Manage domains” and click on the domain name, whose authorization code you wish to obtain. Then press “EPP authorization code” and the code will be sent to the email of the registrant and administrative person. Please make sure that the registrant’s email address is fully functional.

NB! The contact information of the domain registrant, that was registered through Zone, is shown under “My domains” by clicking “contact” next to the domain name.

For the change in domain contact to come in force, the authorized person must sign that change digitally. Changes can be signed digitally in domain management or by hand at our office at Lõõtsa 2B, Tallinn and please take your ID with you.

ATTENTION! If for some reason you cannot change registrant’s email address or order authorization code to the active email address, then there are two more ways for ordering the code:

  • based on a registrant’s digitally signed application, the authorization code will be sent to the email address specified in the application;
  • based on a registrant’s application signed at our office;
